This is an experimental 3D animated short film, created using Maya and Nomad for
modeling, Substance Painter for texturing, with animation and visual effects produced
in Maya, and final compositing done in After Effects. The film aims to illuminate the
underlying tension between instrumental rationality and value rationality unconsciously
intensified in today's intelligent society. The constant clash between these two forces
ultimately leads to an uncertain crisis emerging from the rift. Through this work, we hope
to draw attention to this issue and provoke viewers to reflect on the meaning and value
of humanity in an age dominated by technological rationality.
