An installation dismantles the proposition of technological hegemony in
the digital age from a constructivist perspective. It mainly adopts a
heterogeneous symbiotic structure of steel plates and 3D-printed materials,
symbolizing the confrontational integration of the physical body and
machinery in the process of technological alienation.
Based on the audio-visual interaction of TouchDesigner, it constructs
an asymmetrical power relationship between the alienated organism and
technological system, exploring the systematic deprivation of human
subjectivity by future technological forces, and the complete colonization
of biological body. Eventually, humans will become the ultimate host of
technology in the frenzy of self-optimization.
The power of technology rests in the hands of developers, who have
often overlooked the far-reaching consequences of technological expansion, leading to physiological
and moral dilemmas. Human creativity are at the mercy of technologies, lacking autonomy.
